How Command Center can efficiently power your ridehail or delivery service

rideOS is excited to announce the release of Command Center, our intelligent and flexible dispatching solution for any mobility use case. Command Center supports on-demand ridehail and delivery, and is our response to the needs of our customers in this quickly evolving market. Based on feedback from our customers, we’ve focused Command Center on excelling in four areas:

  1. Supporting unique customer use cases

  2. Increasing fleet efficiency

  3. Analytics and real-time monitoring

  4. Getting to market faster

With this new launch, our Dispatch API can support any use case of moving people and things from one place to another. We allow for different configurations to enable ridehail and delivery, as well as other services like mobile warehouses. Our Dispatch API can be adapted to our customers’ business needs and fleet requirements, and can support those that are currently providing ridehail services but would like to pivot into delivery. We provide support to model different kinds of inventory, as well as vehicles with unique requirements like wheelchairs, car seats, and refrigeration. Customers also now have the option to tailor ETAs to their specific use cases, by dynamically tuning them to predict the actual path that will be taken by their vehicles. ETA models can be adjusted to account for customer-specific needs like servicing, clean up, or battery charging.

Along with customization, our goal is to help customers with fleet efficiency, which is one of the most important aspects to operating a successful delivery or ridehail service. Command Center allows customers to enable a variety of cost-saving features for optimal efficiency. Customers can now dynamically change fleet plans based on real-time data like traffic, closures, and new trips, as well as have access to options for pooled and chained trips, which are crucial for operating fleets and efficiency. With low latency, new fleet plans are provided in seconds. Our Dispatch API is used by partners around the globe with hundreds of vehicles running at once.

We do more than power your fleets — we help you understand them better. Our analytics tools are exposed through our web application, and help customers view statistics across the fleet, and view summaries of important metrics like fleet utilization, historical demand, and algorithmic performance. Customers can analyze performance for an entire fleet, or narrow down on one vehicle or trip. Our web application also provides powerful real-time monitoring, with a live view of a map with vehicles and trips that is always accessible. Customers can query for live status for trips, fleets, and individual vehicles, and can review past trips as well. This can be done through the web dashboard or the API, for customers that want to create their own UI for analytics.

Ultimately, our job is to help our customers get to market faster by ensuring that our code is easy to use and integrate with. Our REST API is easy to integrate into backend systems, and we make sample code and code-filled documentation available at Customers can request, update, and complete trips from a mobile app, backend, or from operator UIs. We provide targeted support with our partner engineering team to guide along customers every step of the way.
