We are extremely excited to announce that Manik Gupta has joined the rideOS advisory board. A veteran in the mapping industry, Manik recently wrapped up a four-year stint at Uber where he most recently served as Chief Product Officer (CPO).
"I have known Justin and Chris, founders of rideOS, for many years and worked closely with them at Uber. The on-demand economy has only accelerated over the last year and rideOS's mobility-as-a-service platform can be a true game changer to build compelling experiences and unlock operational efficiencies for businesses all over the world. I look forward to helping the rideOS team with their technical and product strategy."
As Uber's CPO, Manik led a team of over 1100 people across Product Management, Data Science & Machine Learning, Data Analysis, User Design and Research, Program Management, and Product Marketing functions. He drove a wide scope of initiatives including the rider and driver facing products, the marketplace that connects riders and drivers, and technical platforms like Payments, Maps, Customer Service, and Experimentation. Some of the problems his teams were tasked with solving included pricing, dispatch, ETAs, routing, and improving the pickup/dropoff experience.
Prior to Uber, Manik served as Director of Product Management for Google Maps. There, he was responsible for building the best and most thorough map of the world. He led strategy and execution of three product lines, led Google MapMaker (a tool to engage users to curate maps), and led the acquisition and integration of Waze into the Google Maps team.
We look forward to working with Manik and the opportunity to draw upon his expertise and experience to help guide us forward as we enter new markets and develop new products.
